A: An eyeglass prescription is a written order by an optometrist, ophthalmologist, orthoptist or an optician for eyeglasses. It specifies the refractive power to which the eyeglasses are to be made in order to correct blurred vision due to refractive errors, including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. It is required by law your optometrist provide you with eyeglass prescription after an eye exam. Be sure to ask for a clear and legible copy from them.

A: While your contact lens and eyeglass prescriptions may seem the same, they usually have differences. You must have your eyes examined and ask for an eyeglass prescription (must be less than 2 years old) before ordering with us.
